  On December 18th, I needed a TV for three days so I called RAC at Featherstone and talked to the manager named George. He told me that while the minimum amount of time for a rental was usually a month we was willingly to rent me a TV for two weeks. I agreed because the price was reasonable and I was desperate. I came to the store right after I called and filled out the necessary paperwork and paid for my two weeks. I didn't want to pay for delivery so I took the TV home myself. (By the way the remote for the TV was abysmal; the back of it was missing so the batteries had to be taped in and part of front panel was missing so there were four buttons on the remote that I had no clue what they did because there were no words) Fast forward a couple of days before my expected return date. I realize that two weeks from the day I rented was going to be New Year's Day. I know most establishments were going to be closed so I called on the 30th of December around 3 PM to see if it was okay to turn it in on the 2nd of January. I call and speak to George who is very rude on the phone as if I'm wasting his time and proceeds to tell me that "I have you down for the 30th" as in I was supposed to turn my TV on 30th of December. Which I later wondered how I was supposed to know when he said no such thing to me on the day of me picking up and on the contract he gave me had me down for 87 weeks (not a typo) eighty-seven. It's my fault for not reading it more closely. I asked him why the 30th when I had picked it up on the 18th and he said "It's when the contract starts, not the day of pick up." I said that would make sense if I hadn't done my contract and pickup on the same day at the same time. Misunderstanding my frustration as me wanting more time he suggested I rent it for another week. I said no and he said then you'll have to bring it in today or you'll be charged. I bring the TV back, they checked for damage and if it was still working while a women at the desked asked if I had paid. I told her had and since the TV was fine they let me go. I get home and my mom tells me that she forgot to tell me that people from RAC had called and left her a message at around 10 AM. Weird since she didn't co-sign for my TV I just put her down as one of my references and I hadn't gotten a call at all. We listened to the message and could barely make out a word from the man. He was mumbling and speaking so fast. But I did hear the word payment. I told her not to worry about it because I had paid. Not ten minutes later she gets another call from RAC asking for me. It's the same woman from the location (I recognized her voice) asking me how I would like to pay. I proceed to tell her that I already did not even bothering to remind her that she already asked me. She says okay and hangs up. Around two hours later my mother gets another call this time from a man from RAC asking for a payment this time my mother speaks for me and inform him that I've already paid. She proceeds to tell them that they need to talk to each other before they call customers. Honestly this whole scenario was daunting. What if I had paid with cash rather than card? How would I have proven I already paid? The services RAC provides are much needed and very convenient but the headache of doing business with your company has not only given me great pause but has ruined the possibility of me ever doing business with you all ever again. This was my first and last time using RAC and I hope my comments and concerns will help you in dealing with future customers.
